Since GOOGLE is working on the Nearby share which is similar to apple's airdrop feature for a long time.
And we are hearing the rumors for the past couple of years regarding this feature.
Recently two-three weeks ago, the nearby share has been spotted on a few android phones. And now it has finally arrived officially for Samsung and pixel phones.

The nearby share will allow the user to send and receive files between two devices very quickly.
Google is rolling out this feature for Samsung and pixel smartphones but we hope to see it on other smartphones soon.
It will only be available on the devices which run on Android version 6 and above.

The Nearby future feature is already available on ios and other apple devices for several years.
In the near future, we could probably see this feature on Linux, Chromebooks and who knows perhaps windows too.
It would be a great convenience for all android users who use third-party applications for sharing.
When it will available on every device then you don't have to worry about downloading another sharing app (like Shareit, Xender, etc).

This feature was previously called "Fast share".there were also strong rumors that It was hidden within the Android 10 code.

Google claims that this will choose the best protocol for sharing the files which could be Peer to peer WiFi, Bluetooth, Low energy Bluetooth, or WebRTC.It works offline as well as online

There are also some great privacy features also in it so you won't receive any random file from an unknown person.
like Airdrop, the users can choose between All contacts, Selected contacts, or Hidden.

Device Visibility options

You can also send files anonymously if you don't want to share your contact details.
It would be great for one time-sharing with someone.
The receiver device must be unlocked while receiving or the transfer will be revoked automatically.
