Flipkart and Amazon will show the country of origin of their products.

After the troops of India and China clashed on the LAC border, the tension between these two countries is still rising.
Indians are now boycotting Chinese products after this incident.

The prime minister of India had also appealed to its peoples to be self-reliant.
He asked everyone to use the products which are made in India and not to depend on other nations for anything.

China exports a huge amount of electrical appliances sold in India like smartphones, laptops, and other gadgets.
Since everybody in India doesn't know if a product he is buying online is Chinese or not.
So the DEPARTMENT FOR PROMOTION OF INDUSTRY AND INTERNATIONAL TRADE(DPIIT) had taken a decision for the e-commerce companies.
DPIIT made a statement that all the e-commerce companies will show the country of origin of every product they are selling.



The companies asked for three months to update the data of every product on their platforms as the number of products is too high.

For now, you have to wait to experience this feature.
You will see the country of origin from September 2020.
