New Delhi: Google's $ 4.5 billion (Rs 33,737 crore) investment in Jio Platforms Ltd, with a 7.73 percent stake in India, over the next five to seven years through a mix of equity investment, participation and operations, infrastructure and ecosystem  To accelerate the digital economy.  Investment, CEO Sundar Pichai said

 “Through this partnership with Jio platforms we see an opportunity to have an even greater impact than either company can do alone.

  Earlier this week Pichai announced 75,000 crore rupees for the Google for India Digitization Fund 'to accelerate India's digital economy for the next five years.

  “Our $ 4.5 million investment in Jio is the first and largest investment we will make towards this effort.  Pichai said at the 43rd Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited, I am excited that our collaboration will focus on expanding the reach to hundreds of million users who do not currently have a smartphone experience.



  “Smartphones and affordable data have enabled millions of Indians to come online.  Reliance and Jio are particularly entitled to a good deal of credit for this progress, but more work has to be done to connect every Indian to the opportunity that manufactures technologies, ”he said.



  Pichai praised Jio's investment in expanding telecommunications infrastructure, low-cost phones, and affordable internet, the way millions of its customers receive news and information, communicate with each other, use services  And run businesses, he said in a blogpost
